Winter's Quilt
A Tale of Snow, Dreams, and the Secrets of the Earth
In the stillness of the winter night, the snow-covered forest slumbered, wrapped in a soft, white quilt of silence. The trees, once full of life and vigor, now stood as sentinels, their branches etched against the dark sky like skeletal fingers. The only sound was the occasional crackle of frost-heaved earth and the distant hooting of an owl, its haunting calls echoing through the forest like a mournful dirge. In the midst of this winter wonderland, a small, intricately carved box buried itself under the snow.
