The Fading Tide of Zeeuws Vlaanderen
A Tale of Wanderlust, Secret Societies, and the Forgotten Coast
As the sun rose over the sleepy port of Vlissingen, the herring fleet of Zeelanders set sail into the morning light. The wind sang a gentle melody, rustling the rigging of the ships as the fishermen made their way out of the harbor. The sea, a deep blue, met the horizon, shrouded in a veil of mist that refused to lift.Captain Gerrit, a grizzled veteran with a weathered face and eyes that seemed to hold a thousand stories, stood at the helm of his vessel, the "De Zeeuwse Adelaar".
