The Last Sentinel
A Tale of Honor, Loyalty, and the Unyielding Spirit of the Cavalry
The snow-capped peaks of Manchuria's mountain range loomed in the distance, their rugged grandeur a stark contrast to the desolate wasteland that stretched out before me. I stood atop the frost-encrusted ridge, my gaze scanning the barren landscape as the biting wind howled through the silence.I was the last sentinel, the last remnant of a once-proud cavalry that had been decimated by the relentless tides of war. The distant sentinels I had spoken of in the poem, once proud and unyielding, now lay scattered and still.
