Winter's Regret
A Tale of Love, Triumph, and the Turbulent Tides of Fate
As the snowflakes danced down onto the worn cobblestones of ancient Rome, I, Publius Ovidius Naso, felt the weight of my winter-weary thoughts like the icy grip of the gods themselves. My quill, once mighty and unfettered, now lay still and silent, as if it too had succumbed to the chill that had taken hold of my very soul.In the small, cramped quarters of my humble abode, I sat huddled by the fire, my eyes fixed upon the ink-stained pages that had once flowed with the rhythm of my imagination.
