The Tapestry of Deceit
A Mystery of Murders, Art, and Ancient Secrets
It was a crisp autumn evening when Detective Jameson accepted the phone call from the local police station. "We've got a situation at the Van Reede estate," the dispatcher said, her voice laced with urgency. "Murder, and it looks like a work of art."Jameson arrived at the estate, nestled within the picturesque countryside, to find the police already on the scene. The victim, a middle-aged man with a receding hairline and a nervous twitch, lay face down on the lawn. A faint outline on the grass seemed to be a faint image of a tree, etched into the dirt.
