The Whispering Shadows
A Tale of Art, Deception, and Forgotten Secrets
Prologue:As the misty dawn crept over the crooked streets of Paris, a middle-aged antique dealer, Pierre Dumont, stood outside his quaint shop, pondering the mysterious envelope that had arrived at midnight. The letter was old and faded, with a faint typewritten message: "For Pierre Dumont, care of La Maison des Mères–Les Fils."What caught his attention, however, was the small, ornate frame attached to the envelope. In the frame, a beautiful woodcut etching depicted a mysterious figure, half-veiled, gazing out into the distance. A faint inscription in French – "La Sombre Étoile des Crépuscules" – whispered secrets to the wind.
