The Qianlong Emperor, the mighty ruler of the Qing dynasty, sat upon his throne, his wispy beard trembling with the chill of the frozen air. Outside, the Forbidden City lay shrouded in a blanket of snow, its intricately carved walls and courtyards transformed into a winter wonderland.In this frozen world, a young apprentice named Xiao Jing had grown tired of the monotony of her daily routine. As a copyist, she spent her days reproducing calligraphic masterpieces for the imperial court.
