The Whispering Shadows
"We should be getting back inside," Sophia whispered, her voice barely audible above the wind.
Emily's eyes remained fixed on Suzuki's art. "Just for a minute. I want to see what he's created tonight."As they watched, a figure emerged from the shadows. Tall and gaunt, with eyes that seemed to bore into their souls, he approached Suzuki with an air of quiet menace. Their whispered conversation was inaudible, but the tension was palpable. The air grew heavier, thickening like the fog that crept through the streets. The door to the inn creaked open, admitting a swirl of cold air and a hooded figure.
