The snow-capped mountains stood tall and silent, their rugged peaks reaching for the moon. The winter air was crisp and biting, the only sound the soft crunch of snow underfoot. Detective Jameson trudged through the deep powder, his eyes scanning the terrain below. He had been tracking this trail for weeks, following a trail of clues that seemed to lead nowhere.As he reached the top of the ridge, he spotted a figure stumbling through the drifts. Jameson's heart rate quickened.
