"Rachel, what's going on?" Emily asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Rachel's gaze darted around the darkening street before settling back on Emily. "We need to talk," she hissed, her words dripping with an unspoken urgency.As they stepped out into the night, the air grew thick with an almost palpable tension. Emily felt like they were being watched, the shadows cast by the flickering streetlights twisting into sinister silhouettes. Rachel's words were barely audible over the distant hum of crickets, but the words themselves electrified Emily."The burning of the chrysanthemum..." Rachel began, her voice trembling with a mixture of fear and determination. "It's a sign, Emily. A warning.
