The Mountain of Sakura
"What is it, Sugimoto?" Akane asked, noticing the old man's growing unease.
"Ah, nothing, nothing," he replied quickly, but his eyes betrayed a lingering fear. "Just... the mountain can be... unpredictable."Akane brushed off her concerns, focusing on the task at hand. As they climbed higher, the trees grew taller and the silence grew thicker. The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves.As they reached the peak, a sudden gust of wind swept across the clearing, extinguishing the lanterns and plunging them into darkness. The team huddled together, their breathing the only sound in the oppressive silence."Everyone, hold on!" Sugimoto's voice pierced the darkness.
