The Whispering Manor
A web of secrets and deception threatens to unravel at the seams of a century-old aristocracy
It was a chilly winter evening when I received a mysterious invitation from the enigmatic Earl of Blackwood, summoning me to his ancestral manor in the rolling hills of the English countryside. The imposing edifice, nestled amidst snow-dusted evergreens, loomed before me as I stepped out of my carriage. The trees seemed to whisper secrets to each other, their branches tangling like skeletal fingers, as the moon cast an eerie glow over the scene. As I entered the manor, a warm fire crackled in the grand hall, filling the room with a welcoming aroma of roasted meats and wood smoke.
