The Abode of the Sublime
"The children," whispered Sister Aixu, "are vanishing without a trace."
"We've scoured the mountain," interjected Sister Linqiao, her voice laced with desperation. "The trail is cold, and my heart is heavy as the night."As Abbot Kanzhen pondered their next move, an air of anticipation settled upon the assemblage. Then, without warning, a stray breeze rustled the wind, carrying the whispers of an ageless melody. In the fluttering leaves, the Abbot detected the faint echoes of ancient incantations, a language only the gods could recognize.Hours darkened the valley as the group returned to the mountain's base, their torches casting daunting shadows.
