The Antique Collector's Dilemma
A tale of time, porcelain, and the mysteries of the XVIII century
As the winter snows finally began to thaw, Jameson Wellesley, a renowned collector of antique porcelain, stood before the heavily adorned casement window of his 18th-century townhouse in the heart of London. The chill of the winter morning was slowly giving way to the warmth of the fireplace, casting a golden glow upon the intricate patterns of the Chinese vases on the mantel. His eyes, however, were fixed upon a small, intricately carved box on the nearby console table.
