Leaves of Autumn Fall
A man's fate in China's grip, Time marches, unrelenting
As the last wisps of summer fog dissipated over the ancient city of Xi'an, whispers began to spread of a phenomenon unlike any that had been seen before. People spoke of a stranger, a man with eyes like polished jade and skin like the finest silk, who had appeared overnight, as if conjured from the very dust of the Silk Road. They whispered of his unnerving calm, his detached demeanor, and the unsettling aura that clung to him like a shadow. No one remembered his name, not that it mattered.
