Above the cartouche the title (motto) of the print and a quotation from the Bible (Psalm 78:34). Below the print is a caption: 'Al worpt hy stijf, 't viel soet op't lijf' (though he throws himself stiffly) and a description that explains the print. A good shepherd does the best for his flock.
