Alder strip of bobbin lace with feathered leaves and pineapples, Alder strip of natural-colored Brabant bobbin lace. The repeating pattern is asymmetrical and closed, the motifs are connected by picotized braids. Here and there the braids run behind the motifs. The pattern consists of two different standing strips, formed by wavy feathered leaves, which emerge from stretched pineapples. Between the strips are smaller scattered star, palmetto and chalice flowers cased between finely incised leaves. From above, these are as it were poured out of a calyx-shaped double leaf or a drinking horn, which also returns at the bottom of the strip as a motif. Full work in linen stitch and net stitch, with curved relief contours, so-called ribs. Filling of motifs with decorative ground. The upper edge is finished with a bobbin border. The bottom edge with faint and unequal scallops, arises from the pattern.
