Visscher and bundled and rearranged various print series for Den Grooten Figuer-Bibel. The series and the arrangement are very similar to the Theatrum Biblicum previously published by Claes Jansz. Visscher (II) in 1643, but also differ from Visscher's edition. Schabaelje added text sheets with explanations to the prints. Sometimes he changed the arrangement within a series or expanded the series with separate prints that he thought fit the same theme.
