The stadtholder Frederik Hendrik is depicted on a stage married by Bishop Ophovius to the city virgin of Den Bosch. Behind the city virgin stands Governor of Grobbendonck, as the father of the bride. The columns on either side of the stage are decorated with weaponry and medallions depicting previous military conquests under the governor's policies. At the top hangs a canvas with a map of the siege of Den Bosch. On the left, portraits of Count Palatine Frederick of Bohemia, Frederick Henry and Ernst Casimir, on the right the portraits of their spouses.
