These are (from top to bottom): Death of William III (1702); Stadtholdership dedicated to William IV (1747); Battle of the Dogger Bank (1781); Arrest of Princess Wilhelmina at Goejanverwellesluis (1787); Prince Frederik was wounded in the Battle of Wervik (1793) and Departure of William to England (1795). On the right, History points out these cases to a young man. On the left, geniuses of the arts and sciences hang medals from the societies founded in this century on a tree.
