Side A shows the deities Apollo, Artemis and Leto drinking libation at an altar. Apollo is clothed with a long chiton and a chlamys (cloak) draped over his left shoulder. He has turned his head back. The hair, which falls in long curls down to the back, is held by a laurel wreath or diadem. On the outstretched right he balances a flat donation bowl (Phiale), with the left a large kithara. In front of him there is a small altar of sacrifice with flames painted in red. On the left follows a female figure in long chiton and with a cloak. The hair is held by a diadem. She holds a large laurel branch in her left hand. With the jug in her right hand she pours liquid on the altar. On the right behind Apollo there is a second female figure in a long chiton and cloak. In her right hand she stretches a jug towards Apollo. Even though the two female figures are not marked by attributes, they can be named in connection with the god Apollo, recognizable by the cithara, the long robe and the laurel, as his sister Artemis and his mother Leto.
