The front legs contain inlaid geometric motifs. Between the front legs, at the top, below the seat, is a sill that is cut open on either side of an inlaid flower. The hind legs blend into the back posts. The back posts are inlaid with a vertical strip of coromandel wood, which has been interrupted twice. The backrest consists of an open and a closed part. The closed part, consists of a panel with a curved decorative rail at the top and an intermediate rail at the bottom. There are struts on which the armrests rest at the height of the center of the front legs. The struts widen to the bottom and are serrated on one side. The armrests also rest at the rear on struts, attached to the side of the back posts. The armrests have a wavy shape on the outside and are inlaid with ivory in a diamond pattern on the inside. The seat and panel of the backrest are covered with batik parchment on which a red, black, green and white geometric pattern is divided into planes.
