Bronze handle attachment in the form of a mask, Late Hellenistic or Early Imperial, 1st century B.C.–1st century A.D., Greek or Roman, Bronze, H. 8 9/16 in. (21.7 cm), Bronzes, The heavy ring once at the top of the head has broken off. Such attachments were one of a pair situated on either side of a situla (bucket-shaped vessel) to accommodate the carrying handle.
