The description of the accompanying text reads: the woman on the right wears an apple green 'Pierrot' and on the head a black hat 'à la Maltoise', trimmed with a ribbon 'au diadème'. On the crown of the hat a pink crepe forming several bows, two of which hang down to the shoulders. Decorated with an aigrette of black cock feathers and a white plume. Over the collar of the gown a fichu of gaze, with a tuft of roses in the middle front. Hairstyle 'à la Conseillère'. Long earrings 'à la plaquette`. The woman on the left is dressed in a pink 'Pierrot' and wears on the head a Baigneuse of white gaze with a large voile. In front of the hat a bow of a ribbon 'au diadème', the two ends of which fall to the shoulders. Over the collar of the gown a large neckerchief or 'Mouchoir' of gaze. Long earrings 'à la plaquette'.
