Seated next to a golden lion, La Felsina is personified at the top of a rocky base representing the Apennines. The mounts are adorned with griffins, the emblem of Francesco Ratta, and allegories of the four rivers, they feature basins of preserves and sweets. Dedication signed: Gioseffo Mazza. On p., 6, the text mentions that the sugar sculptures were executed by Giovanni Battista Zaccarini, the other decorations by Sebastiano Sarti, under the supervision of Gioseffo Mazza.
