Collage with the assassination of William of Orange made from several prints, The etching, published by Frans Hogenberg, with the assassination of William of Orange, mounted on a backing sheet and made into a collage for which parts of six or seven other prints were used. The Prinsenhof, where the assassination takes place, has been expanded into a substantial palace with the aid of parts cut from architectural prints. To the right, a fragment from another print by Hogenberg has been added, namely the right-hand section from La Motte-Gondrin hung at Valenciennes (1562).
