THE CONDEMNED CRUISER: H.M.S. 'BACCHANTE' IN A GALE, 1897: H.M.S. Bacchante, which is to be broken up, is the cruiser in which the Prince of Wales's sons made their trip round the world in 1880. She has been lying dismantled in Plymouth Harbour for some time, and has now been purchased from the Admiralty by the Shipbreaking Company. Reimagined by Gibon. Classic art with a modern twist.
