Daniel counters condemnation of Susanna, Thronus Justitiae duodecim pulcherrimis tabulis artificiosissime aeri incisis illustratus (series title), Two elders appointed as judges over the people harass Susanna, in the background, as she takes her bath. She is accused by them of adultery. On the left, the two lead her before a judge, seated on a throne on the right, and falsely accuse her, demanding that she be put to death. Susanna looks up and prays to God that He knows what really happened and that they are falsely accusing her. The young Daniel in the middle shouts loudly that he is not guilty of Susanna's blood. Thereupon Daniel is allowed to question the elders to uncover the false testimony of the two. Below the image two four-line verses in Latin and a reference to the Bible text in Dan. 13.
