Design for an ovoidal tureen intended to be produced in partly gilt silver. Below is an ovoidal base of two sections, the lower one showing a fret band with a Greek key motif. Four standing displayed eagles carrying festoons are intended upon the upper section, three are depicted. A cylindrical pedestal rises in the middle. Upon it stands upon four curved legs the bowl, described with nine festoons hanging from Medusa masks at the upper ends of the legs. Pairs of snakes rise from the lateral masks, serving as handles. The upper part of the cover is shaped as a shell. Upon it stands a running girl with a flower basket in her left arm, raising a bunch of flowers with her right hand.
