Design for a Sepulchral Monument of King Louis XVI of France, Giuseppe Barberi, Italian, 1746–1809, Pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash, The base has some steps, with small lateral parts in masonry. The structure has an oblong sockle and a rededing upper round tower-like part. At the front is a doorcase upon whose entablature lean two women - the left one is seen in front, the right in profile - beside an urn with a flame. They stand upon the sockle. Corresponding laterally are women standing beside a similar urn standing upon what seems to be a balustrade. Below the upper edge of the tower is a band with a triglyph frieze.
