Intended to be executed in green and gilded bronze. In the main design, a round pedestal with a lozenge decoration of the shaft stands upon a square base. Upon it stands a young man in classical attire, holding in his lowered left hand an open book and supporting with the right arm a stem. The stem has a palmette at the top with three sockets. At left is shown the shaft of the design for the counterpart. A woman supports the stem with the left arm and carries a mirror in her right hand.
