The performance shows the Relief of Leiden by the Dutch fleet. A city view of Leiden is depicted in the distance, with a view of Delft at the front left. On the water, the Dutch fleet approaches the city of Leiden through a landscape with scattered small villages. In front of this scene are a few men, including William of Orange and the mayor of Delft, with men with weapons at the back and two lions as shield carriers at the front. The left lion holds a shield with the coat of arms of William of Orange quartered on it; the right lion holds a shield with the Delft coat of arms plain with one vertical dark stripe. At the bottom is the year ANNO 1603. Completely below the engraving is printed on the left Isaak Zwanenburg inv, in the middle is Ad Autographum majus delineavit I.C. Boetius and on the right is the signature, 1939
