On the body you can see Joseph's Old Testament history in bas-relief: on the one hand Joseph in prison with the donor of the court and the bread master (as emblem of the Patience), on the other side Joseph as the pharaoh's dream interpreter (emblem of the hope). Under the spout are personifications of Justice and Peace, embracing each other. Another half-naked woman crowns the ear. The jug is further decorated with a frieze of putti (lower zone of the body), acanthus leaves, masks and a text tape, placed in prison the butler and the baker in Joseph's charge, Joseph interpreting Pharaoh's dreams, Justice, 'Justitia', 'Giustitia divina' (Ripa), one of the Four Cardinal Virtues, symbols, allegories of peace, 'Pax', 'Pace' (Ripa), Henry de Triqueti, Paris, 1837 and/or in or after 1844, bronze (metal), founding, h 41.5 cm × w 20 cm
