The first Jacob van Maerlant Prize for popular scientific publications instituted by the IVIO Foundation, has been awarded by the jury to the Amsterdam professor Prof. Dr. A. Stolk(left) for the OA booklet Primitive Behavior, a volume in the AO series on proto-psychology that appeared on September 6, 1963. The prize consists of a cash prize and a bell cast by the world's oldest bell foundry Petit and Fritsen in Aarle-Rixtel and bears the inscription Jacob van Maerlant Prize 1964.
