(25.4 cm), Glass, New Bremen Glass Manufactory (1784–1795), John Frederick Amelung (active 1784–ca. 1791), Engraved with the arms of the state of Pennsylvania and signed 'New Bremen Glassmanufactory / 1791,' this goblet was presented to Thomas Mifflin in 1791, the year he became governor of that state. The foot was broken and replaced, probably in the early nineteenth century; the goblet's original cover is missing
