On the plate of the dish the arms of the Gordon and Forbes families. The weapon is divided into four compartments with Gordon in 1. and 4. with three boar heads against a blue background, 2. and 3. Forbes with three cups on a light blue background. The helmet sign is an arm with a sword and the inscription 'CORDE MANUQUE'. A spearhead border on the inside edge. The head with the same decoration with a cartouche with a landscape on either side of the weapon. Ear has been broken.
