The body of the vessel is vertically grooved. With the exception of the bottom, the jar is completely covered with a shiny black color. The bottom and the base ring are colored red. On the flat top there is a medallion pressed with a form. Depicted is a young naked warrior in frontal view, turning to the right. He is armed with a retracted Corinthian helmet and a round shield held behind his back and guided by his left arm. In his left he holds a spear. With his right hand he grasps a forearm. The legs are cut off by the medallion. The interpretation of the scene is secured by a Calenian bas-relief bowl and by a guttus in Berlin with the other half of the scene: Cassandra at the Palladion. The scene is thus depicted after the fall of Troy. Unusual is the division into two vessels. The medallion is surrounded by nine stamped palmettes, two of them between handle and spout.
