Hat slip made of spool lace with pod-shaped cartouche and peony, Strip of natural color spool lace, Binche lace. The repetitive and continuous pattern consists of a pod-shaped cartouche, from which on one side a peony rises on a curved stem with a feathered leaf on either side. A drawing with leaves and flowers can be seen in the cartouche, as well as in the frame around it. The motifs are connected by a decorative ground, a snow ground, largely with a hole in the flakes. The full work is mainly made in linen stroke with openwork edges and partly in net stroke. All sides of the strip are finished straight and provided with picots.
