Hector, Bertel Thorvaldsen, 1770-1844, No earlier than 1804, Drawing, This drawing is particularly carefully fashioned, and rather than emphasising the linear silhouette of the figure as in many other drawings, whether in pencil, ink or chalk, Thorvaldsen has given a precise account of the body and dress, movements and gesticulations of the figure of Hector. This sketch of Hector has no direct counterpart among Thorvaldsen’s reliefs., Paper, Color, Chalk, White chalk, Color, Chalk, Carbonpencil, Drawn, Height 425 mm, Width 258 mm, Draftsmanship, Drawing, European, Modernity (1800 - 1914)
