Pluimer is drinking with a goblet of drink in his hand, in the foreground the personification of the Amsterdam Schouwburg is robbed of her clothes (by G. Bidloo or Pieter de la Croix?). The audience with donkey ears walks through the dilapidated arch to the theatre but is chased away by Apollo, in the background Mount Parnassus. On the left the city maiden of Amsterdam and a mourning personification of the Amsterdam Schouwburg., print, engraving, cartoon, prints, engravings, Frederik Muller Historieplaten, Cartoon on the mismanagement of Joan Pluimer and Govert Bidloo, who were regents from 1679 to 1681, and tenants of the Amsterdam Schouwburg from 1681 to 1687. In the middle stands Pluimer with a feather on his head, a goblet of drink in his hand and a lyre under his arm. In front of him a servant with a pie in the shape of a deer. To his right an old man who raises a stick towards him. On the left in the foreground a sad personification of the Amsterdam Schouwburg with a beehive in her hand, to her left the muse Melpomene. On the right in the foreground a deceased man (possibly the co-tenant Pieter de la Croix who died in 1687) is robbed of his shroud by a man with a beret on his head and a money box under his arm (probably Bidloo). Audience with donkey ears walks through the dilapidated arch to the theatre but is chased away by Apollo. Apollo stands in front of a gate with on the left, from top to bottom, the portraits of Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft, Joost van den Vondel and Gerbrand Adriaensz. Bredero.
