Jabot of needlepoint lace with feather-shaped petal, Jabot of natural-colored needlepoint lace: Venetian relief lace. Square model. The pattern consists of interlocking curling tendrils from which spring multifarious palm flowers, foliate volutes and asymmetrical acanthus leaves. The motifs are made with festoon stitches in which notches provide nuances. The motifs have relief contours and, particularly around the flower hearts, thick, often C-shaped cordons have been applied for extra relief. The cordons are decorated with picots. The motifs are connected by an irregular open bar ground with (cog), picots.
