Within a round frame in the foreground two people in eighteenth-century clothing with a person at the right by a table and cupboard with bales of woolen fabrics. In the background a standing Minerva with a web-shaped shield and a weaving coil as occasion attributes. For her a seated woman or child holding a thread spool and a man with a bundle of cloth under his arm; in the back right a person behind a loom. At the back a cloudy sky with ship's masts. Below the performance is a cartouche with a cityscape and bales of cloth with cloths attached and loose strands of wool; at the top shields, left with the Leiden city coat of arms and right empty. The cityscape was created as a loose rectangular sheet and then pasted against the back of the cartouche cut into the paper. The image is cut through in outline, has a red dye on the back and contains an empty cartridge and an empty coat of arms. It may therefore be a design for a label that, depending on the version, could be completed. Furthermore, some accents are heightened in white. Not signed, 2014
