(1770-1840) in Berlin. Since the Age of Enlightenment, this was due to a tradesman who had come to office and dignity. The sculpture by the court sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow radiates an extraordinary vitality and freshness. The plaster bust comes from the Keilpflug family and can be seen as an independent work of art. It was certainly intended to remain in this inexpensive material and was not intended for further execution in marble.
