Lazio Viterbo Capranica portale romanico, this is my Italy, the italian country of visual history, Medieval Architecture, architectural sculpture. This portal now a part of the Ospedale Civile dates to the 13th century. The lunette of the portal is adorned with a vine-scroll motif, in which are entwined monstrous half-human/half-animal figures.
