Maps of the Spanish Armada (16 and 21 July 1588), Two cards (I-II) with the Spanish fleet in the Channel below the coast of Cornwall and Devon, within an ornamental frame. At the top in the frame is a medallion with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth I, flanked by the personifications of History and Fame, seated between weapons (spears, shields, banners). Under the medallion hangs a cartouche with the Anchor of Hope, the arms of the English Admiralty, surrounded by the four winds. Among them Neptunus pulled in his wagon by two horses and accompanied by two men with fish tails. In the right corner of the left card, Britannia sits with two putti by a rock by the water. One of the two putti looks out over the sea with binoculars. On the right Minerva card and a putti with the Charles Howard coat of arms.
