It stands in the center of the upper edge of a broad pedestal. The bust is crowned with a wreath by Painting and Sculpture, whereas Mathematics carrying a sphere besides the compass, is seated beside the monument at right. A child with a cornucopia crouches at left. The front of the projecting central part of the lower pedestal is intended for the inscription.
