The interior is decorated with a large gorgoneion. On the outside, between the eyes on side A are the Heros Heracles and on side B the goddess Athena. Heracles is dressed in a short chiton and lion skin and is armed with bow and sword. In his right hand he holds a great cantharos. Above the figure of Heracles the potter Nikosthenes signed with the words 'Mich hat Nikosthenes gemacht'. Athena wears a long robe, and the snake-ägis. She is equipped with an Attic helmet, a round shield and two lances. Both figures are standing on a circle, underneath there is a halo of rays.
