Allegorical representation in the form of a scene in which the triumphal chariot during the journey across the barren field (Oldenbarnevelt) has collided with a golden stick (Spinola), causing the chariot to strand and the lion to receive a shock. In the chariot are the Dutch Virgin, the Dutch Lion with lance and liberty cap and the orange tree with the coat of arms of Maurits. In the foreground, the Bible is carefully picked up again. At the top of the facade are the personifications of Fame and Strength, at the bottom are Vigilance and Caution. At the bottom are three inscriptions.
