Make-up palette in the shape of a fish, slate, beaten, retouched (stone working), smoothed, drilled, graywacke, Total: Height: 11.8 cm; Width: 19.3 cm; Depth: 0.5 cm, ritual objects and accessories, grave goods, fish (animals), This make-up palette has the shape of a fish body; however, tail fin and eyes are missing. Along the curved upper edge there is a drilled hole in the middle. The surface is more curved on one side. On side B a hollow is visible in the rear half, which was caused by use. Here 'Hieraconpolis' - probably the place where it was found - is written in ink. Greywacke make-up pallets are characteristic of the naqada culture of the 4th millennium B.C. Minerals were ground up on them and mixed to black or green make-up. This was used in everyday life, but they were also used in cult to paint the cult statue. Their use as grave goods testifies to the special significance of the make-up pallets.
