(11 9/16 x 15 15/16 in.), Photographs, Edgar Degas (French, Paris 1834–1917 Paris), Degas set up his camera and posed with Marie Fontaine and Paul Poujaud, a lawyer, connoisseur, and friend of many painters and musicians of the time. Years later Poujaud recalled that the photograph was made in the home of composer Ernest Chausson and his wife, Madame Fontaine's sister, and that Degas posed the group and gave the sign for someone else to close the shutter at the right moment
